When I started North Star Quilt Shop, I didn’t just want to sell fabric, I wanted to build something meaningful.

Quilting has always been more than a hobby to me. It’s creative, practical, comforting, and deeply personal. There’s something powerful about making something with your hands and watching it come together piece by piece. I wanted to create a shop that reflected that same feeling: thoughtful, welcoming, and inspiring without being overwhelming.

From the very beginning, I focused on curating modern quilting fabrics that felt timeless rather than trendy. Fabrics you could return to again and again. Fabrics that would support your creativity instead of distracting from it. Every collection, every bundle, and every decision is made with real quilters in mind—because I’m one too.

Building a small, woman-owned business hasn’t always been easy, but it has always been worth it. Every email opened, every post liked, every kind message, and every order, big or small, has helped keep North Star Quilt Shop moving forward.
